Public pressure is mounting to ban Bisphenol-A (BPA) and phthalates, with legislation being proposed and passed in many countries, states, and even cities, and public health warnings being issued.

But laws and regulations intended to solve the estrogenic activity (EA) problem by banning one chemical with EA at a time will never result in a comprehensive solution. The problem is too pervasive, and producers of conventional plastics offer no alternatives.

Manufacturers who have successfully responded to singular chemical bans could be significantly hurt when systemic change in the plastic channel is driven by newly proposed legislation (the Kids Safe Chemical Act) or growing press coverage of endocrine disruption (multiple stories in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and scores of other media outlets around the country). Conversely, these companies can pick up significant market share if they are proactive in taking advantage of the easily implemented technology that PlastiPure has created to make EA-Free materials and finished goods.
